Discovery Channel Prime & Day - 4:3 into 16:9
As Design Manager at Discovery Networks, I served as the brand guardian—ensuring every piece of branding between programming, including continuity and promo elements, was consistent and true to the brand. I designed typographical bumpers — concise, striking quotes paired with powerful audio — that captured key moments and engaged viewers.
I worked across a range of high-profile themed weekends and events, such as Discovery Film launches, Deadliest Catch Weekend, Shark Weekend, How To, Christmas break bumpers, and more.
Additionally, I was responsible for creating a distinct sub-brand for Discovery Prime to set it apart from daytime Discovery. Using color as a simple yet effective tool, I developed a fresh visual identity that maintained overall brand integrity.
I also led the adaptation of Discovery’s original 4:3 rebrand into widescreen 16:9, enabling a seamless transition to modern viewing formats. I mainly used Adobe softeware (Photoshop and AfterEffects).
